The rugged casing is built to withstand the vibrations, humidity, dust and fluctuating temperatures typically found in public transportation vehicles. The design of the AXIS 209FD-R allows easy and flexible installation on vehicle ceilings or side panels. Sloping surfaces are easily compensated for by horizontal camera adjustment, tilt and rotation of the lens.
Support for Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) reduces installation costs by powering the camera over the network cabling, eliminating the need for power outlets.
